Her Elegant Crepes Only Require 3 Ingredients To Make

Crepes are a lot easier to make than you think. They are served at elegant French restaurants and can even be found at wedding receptions, so they seem like such a fancy delicacy, but fancy does not always equate to complexity.

With just a few simple ingredients and a high-quality frying pan, you can have a batch of thin, crispy crepes to eat for breakfast.

Although crepes are usually a breakfast or brunch option, they are welcomed at any time with open arms, such as for dinner or dessert. No one can pass up a good crepe!

Crepes are so popular because of their versatility, which makes them fun to eat. You can add anything you want to your crepes.

There’s no risk of a picky eater discreetly plucking off the toppings they don’t enjoy. With crepes, everyone can find something they like.

TikToker Boushra Ali (@boushra_alli) has an easy recipe for crepes that require only three main ingredients and take no longer than fifteen minutes to throw together.

Start by sifting one cup of all-purpose flour into a bowl, then add two eggs and one and a quarter cups of milk. Give it a really good mix until it is combined well.

Next, use a ladle to pour the crepe batter into a nonstick pan over medium heat. Tilt the pan in a circular motion to spread the batter evenly.

Then, cook until it turns lightly golden. Flip and cook the other side for approximately one minute. Repeat the process until you’ve run out of batter.

Make sure to serve the crepes immediately with your choice of fillings and toppings. Crepes can be savory or sweet.

Some common crepe fillings can range from whipped cream, Nutella, and fruit to cheese, ham, and mushrooms.

In her video, Boushra opts for a sweet breakfast, topping off her crepes with fresh strawberries, crumbled biscotti cookies for a bit of texture, and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Do you prefer crepes more on the sweet or savory side?
