Born on March 8, 2001, Jorden Shyann Nebling of South Carolina grew up in the foster care system. Then she and her older sister were later adopted by her stepmother, Mary Tucker.
As a teenager, Jorden did struggle with drug abuse. However, by the age of 19, she reportedly stopped using and was trying to turn her life around.
In fact, Jorden had received a new job and was working on becoming a responsible young adult. But, in October 2020, her plans came to a screeching halt.
Jorden was known to visit two main areas in South Carolina– Marietta and Travelers Rest. So, on October 9 of that year, she and a male friend decided to borrow a car from Travelers Rest to visit some friends in Cowpens, South Carolina.
At one point during this trip, however, Jorden’s male friend left with a different acquaintance; meanwhile, Jorden stayed.
Then, the following day, Jorden opted to drive back to Travelers Rest alone on October 10, 2020. And along the way, her borrowed car broke down unexpectedly in front of an Old White Horse Road home in Travelers Rest.
Later, at about 1:30 p.m., the owner of this home watched as Jorden entered the vehicle of a man who had arrived to pick her up. After calling for a ride home, though, Jorden never returned and was never seen or heard from again.
Once Jorden’s grandmother failed to get in contact with her, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office was alerted, and a missing person report was filed on November 8, 2020.
Upon launching an investigation, authorities discovered that Jorden had called her ex-boyfriend and Travelers Rest resident, Tyler Wilkens, to pick her up after the borrowed car broke down.
When speaking with investigators, Tyler claimed to have driven Jorden to his home. However, after they got into an argument, Tyler alleged that Jorden left on her own.
Back when Jorden was 17 years old, she and Tyler dated for two years. They also briefly lived together.
While Tyler has never been charged in connection to Jorden’s case, though, he was arrested and charged with murder, kidnapping, and child neglect on November 10, 2022. These charges were in connection with the death of Clarissa Michelle Winchester, his girlfriend, as well as their newborn son.
Tyler is accused of assaulting Clarissa and keeping her inside a relative’s home– causing blunt-force trauma to her neck and head. He is now awaiting trial.
But, in Jorden’s case, investigators have uncovered no evidence of a crime, even though they suspect that foul play was involved.
So, the exact circumstances surrounding Jorden’s disappearance have remained unknown, and her loved ones have continued searching for answers.
They have since created a Facebook page entitled “Find Jorden Nebling” dedicated to raising awareness about her case as the investigation continues.
At the time of her disappearance, Jorden was five foot five, weighed between 90 and 110 pounds, and had blonde hair and blue/hazel eyes. She also had pierced ears and a tattoo on her forearm depicting birds and the phrase “Live Free.”
If you have any information regarding her disappearance or whereabouts, you are urged to contact the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office at (864) 271-5210.
