Police responded to a call out to Lamora’s home in Oakland City West End Apartments in Atlanta.
Their father, Jameel Penn, had made the call after Lamora video-chatted him what she did to her sons.
Police arrived to find that both the young boys had already died at the scene.
What Lamora said happened to her sons just did not add up.
Lamora told police that she left both her dead sons and their 3-year-old brother home with a relative for 11 hours while she went out.
Police quickly called her out and said this didn’t make sense.
They found injuries on both the young boys, including severe burns.
How did that happen to these poor babies?
It turns out Lamora put both her young sons in the oven, and then turned it on.
That’s how the boys ended up with severe burns.
That’s how the boys ended up dead.

Lamora then video-chatted Jameel, their father showing him what she had done to them.
“It was like a real horror movie. it was Friday the 13th,” Jameel said about her video-chat.
“When I saw my kid, how I saw my kid, that’s when I knew what was going on.”
Lamora had signs pointing to her having severe problems, and her family is outraged because they say the system and the state failed her.

Lamora’s Mom, Brenda, said she struggled with mental illness for years. This Mom may have been dealing with postpartum depression when she put her sons in the oven and turned it on.
“I reported her to DFACS at one point in time once her father died and I did tell DFACS everything because I either wanted them to give me the kids or get the kids out of her possession because at one time I thought she was just going nuts not feeding them,” Brenda said about her daughter.
