Sharon Tate: This Gorgeous Pregnant Actress Was Murdered By Charles Manson’s Family & Here’s What You Need To Know

It was towards the end of 1965, after four years of working hard, that Sharon got her big break.

She landed a starring role in a film called Eye of the Devil. 

Shortly after Sharon landed her major role, she met the up and coming director Roman Polanski, and he decided to give her the starring role in his new film called The Fearless Vampire Killers.

Sharon and Roman really hit it off. The two became romantically involved throughout the production of the film, and after the movie was finished, Sharon moved to Roman’s London flat to live with him.

On January 20, 1968, Sharon and Roman got married in London. It was just before Sharon’s 25th birthday. Sharon wore little flowers in her hair and a silk mini dress.

Her wedding dress later sold at an auction in 2018 for $56,000. Their reception was held at The Playboy Club and attended by a lot of stars of the time. Her life had become the stuff of dreams.

After the two tied the knot in truly 60s fashion, they moved to Los Angeles and Sharon kept getting some big parts in different films.

Sharon starred in The Wrecking Crew, and she won major praise from many critics for her role. She starred alongside Dean Martin in The Wrecking Crew.

For her part in Valley of the Dolls, Sharon almost won a Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actress.

Things were on the up and up for Sharon, and she was starting to hang out with some big stars in Hollywood while she wasn’t busy acting.

There were rumors swirling that Roman wasn’t faithful to Sharon and had relationships on the side. After Sharon’s death, some dark details began to emerge about her 18-month long marriage to Roman.

In the 2016 book by Ed Sanders called Sharon Tate: A Life, a friend of Sharon’s named Joanna Pettet said that Roman, “Told her how to dress; he told her what makeup he liked, what he didn’t like. He preferred her with nothing, no makeup.”

Despite that, Sharon seemed truly happy in her marriage to Roman. Roman was 9 years older than her, and her friends say Sharon was so madly in love with him.

As 1968 came to an end, 25-year-old Sharon became pregnant with Roman’s son. Sharon was overjoyed to be a mom. However, according to Joanna, Roman demanded she get an abortion.
