After speaking with him, authorities suspected Patrick was the reason why Kelsey was missing. And they knew he was not sharing all of the information that he had with them.

Kelsey’s mom spoke to NBC, as she tried hard to get the public to come forward with any information. “I can’t think of anywhere she’s gone where she hasn’t told me,” She said. “It’s just not in her character to do something, to just take off and be gone.”
Kelsey vanished Thanksgiving Day, shortly after she called her mom to talk about a recipe she was making for the special holiday
Cheryl-Lee also went on to say to NBC that she talked to Kelsey the day she vanished. She talked to her twice. Kelsey had needed some help with one of her recipes.
“Her voice was fine,” Cheryl-Lee said about Kelsey’s mood on Thanksgiving Day. “It was a normal day for her.”
Cheryl-Lee also talked about the relationship Kelsey had with Patrick, despite the fact that the two were broken up and not living together. They still maintained a solid bond. “The relationship has been good,” Cheryl-Lee commented on their relationship. “They’re loving.”
Although Kelsey and Patrick were no longer engaged at the time of Kelsey’s disappearance, the two still had a great and loving relationship with each other
It was now Thursday, December 13th. Patrick decided to give police samples of his DNA and also gave them his phone so they could try to search for more clues. Authorities also proceeded to search his home and his property.
