Ultimately, Luisa entered a plea deal. She admitted to what she did to Alexa. She admitted to taking her life.
On Monday, Luisa pled guilty to the charges against her and will be serving a 20-year sentence (reduced down from 40), and then she will be on probation for 10 years after her release.
“There are no words for this tragedy and my heart is filled with sorrow and grief,” Luisa said in court about what she was capable of doing to her own best friend.
“My heart goes out to the Cannon family. I am so, so sorry.”
