Well, Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans’ son Jace has been removed from her home, and now Jenelle’s sister Ashleigh Evans Wilson is opening up about the situation.
In a nine-minute and fifty-two-second long video posted to TikTok under her account @monroemisfit, Ashleigh got real and shared her opinion regarding the controversy surrounding her sister. Worth noting: Ashleigh keeps her distance from Jenelle, but she is still close to their mom, Barbara.
“No, I’m not talking bad about my sister like it literally is what it is, and I’m speaking pure facts,” Ashleigh clarified in her video.
Ashleigh went on to say that Jenelle is still legally married to David Eason even though they are separated since, in North Carolina, you are required to be separated for an entire year before you can get a divorce.
Ashleigh then steers the conversation toward Jenelle’s son, Jace. “It really hurts my heart for all of these children, especially Jace,” Ashleigh added. “I was very close to him. I used to babysit him when he was a baby.”
Her oldest son is also quite close to Jace, and they’re almost like brothers. Ashleigh had to sit her son down and tell him about what’s been going on with Jace, which she said was really hard for her to do.
Ashleigh actually learned some “heartbreaking and sad things” about Jace from her older son, who is in constant contact with him.
Ashleigh feels that Jenelle’s kids are not receiving proper adult supervision and should be paid attention to more. Ashleigh outlined that Jenelle keeps repeating the same patterns with the guys she chooses to date, as well as her patterns in life overall.
Circling back to Jenelle’s kids, Ashleigh said the system has entirely failed them since they have done nothing to intervene and help.
“It’s just a repeated cycle, and at this point, my mom and I don’t really have anything to say,” Ashleigh continued. “My mom wants to speak to Jace and try to be with him in his life.”
Ashleigh noted that they have to be careful with what they say. Otherwise, Jenelle will block their mom from Jace’s life completely.
Ashleigh wrapped up her video by admitting it’s humiliating for her to have to deal with Jenelle’s controversy before reiterating that it was tough for her to have a conversation about Jace with her own son, especially since he found out about a lot of the drama through other kids who are active on social media.
