It was now February 4th and Kaylee took a bigger dose of drugs than she ever had before. Two days later, Kaylee was still high.

It was now February 6th. A Tuesday. At 10:30 in the morning, Kaylee found herself standing outside a church.

She had walked along a railroad track to get herself there and she thought one of her friends was inside the church.
She remembers thinking everything was very dark outside the church and gloomy, even though it was broad daylight.
Kaylee got down on the ground, screaming, “Why me? Why do I have to do this?”
She felt she had to tear her own eyes out right there.

She was still high on crystal meth and hallucinating. To this day she’s not sure why she felt the need to tear her eyes out of her own head, but Kaylee did. She did it.
