Stop Wrestling With Tough-To-Eat Caramel Apples And Try Making These Apple Pops Instead

Caramel apples are a classic delicacy, but the truth is, they’re not very easy to eat. How many times have you awkwardly stretched your mouth at various angles to try to get a bite of apple without smearing sticky caramel all over your cheeks and chin?

More often than not, children aren’t even able to finish the entire thing, gnawing off the sweet stuff and leaving most of the apple untouched.

If you’re tired of wasting apples, TikToker Kasey (@sbkliving) is demonstrating how to make chocolate and caramel apple pops that are much easier to eat so that kids will actually be getting some of the apples, too! Her video has gained nearly three and a half million views.

Start by cutting your green apples into thick slices. Next, take your knife and poke a small hole into the bottom of each apple slice, creating a slot to insert the wooden popsicle stick.

Melt a bowl of dark chocolate chips in the microwave and combine with coconut oil. Then, dip the apples in, rotating them so that they are thoroughly coated in the chocolate mixture.

Set them on a tray lined with parchment paper and place them in the refrigerator for ten minutes to allow them to harden. Once time is up, take them back out and use a spoon to drizzle them with a warm caramel sauce.

Finally, add your favorite toppings. Kasey layers her apple pops with chocolate chips and festive red, yellow, and orange sprinkles.

Put them back into the fridge for another ten minutes to let them set again. After that, they’re all ready to enjoy!

In the comments section, one TikTok user proposed the idea of dipping the apples in melted white chocolate and using orange food coloring to make them look like mini pumpkins, while others declared they would dip them in caramel and drizzle with chocolate instead.

Another user suggested brushing each apple slice with freshly squeezed lemon juice and letting it dry before dipping them into the chocolate, stating that the lemon juice will prevent the apples from turning brown if you’re bringing them to a party later on.
