She Was Forced To Babysit Her Stepsister’s Kids Again, So She Started Day Drinking While Watching Them And Got Screamed At

This 19-year-old girl is planning to head off to college next fall, and she has been working a lot to save money. During the week, she has a full-time job, and on the weekends, she works as a “beer tub girl.”

Despite already having two jobs, though, she is often forced to babysit for her stepsister against her will.

For some context, she currently lives with her dad and her stepmom. Her stepsister Jaimie is 27-years-old and has two children.

So, whenever her stepsister visits her stepmom, the kids are brought along and sometimes left with her.

“When Jaimie comes over on Sundays, she sometimes leaves her kids at my house, and Jaimie and her mom go out,” she explained.

The worst part is that she’s not even asked beforehand if she’s willing to babysit. She’s tried complaining about this in the past as well, yet every single time, she’s told that she has to watch the children since they’re family.

“My dad doesn’t help, and I am stuck with two kids I don’t like for hours,” she said.

That’s why, when she was forced to babysit again this past weekend, she decided that her stepsister’s children would just have to go along with her plans.

More specifically, she wanted to watch the TV series “Supernatural,” so she introduced the kids to it. She also decided to have a few alcoholic beverages while babysitting them.

“I don’t get sloppy drunk or anything. And I don’t have a car, so it’s not like I would drive drunk in case of emergency,” she reasoned.

Rather, if anything ever went wrong, she would just dial 911.

Regardless, when her stepmom and Jaimie arrived home to find her enjoying drinks and watching that television show with the children, they freaked out.

She got screamed at for drinking while she was supposed to be babysitting.

“I said I was not babysitting because sitters get paid. I was doing a favor for family, and as a favor, I would do it my way,” she recalled.

Her stepmom and Jaimie didn’t think that was fair and called her a jerk for not giving the children her undivided attention.

Her dad is the only person who took her side, but even he claimed that she should’ve been more responsible.

“I think I should be asked and paid or left alone,” she vented.

Nonetheless, she’s now been left wondering if “day drinking” while she was forced to babysit really was the wrong thing to do.

Is it right that she gets stuck babysitting often? At the same time, was drinking an irresponsible move?
