33-year-old Patrick Frazee has been charged with murdering his 29-year-old fiancée and mom of his daughter, Kelsey Berreth.
Patrick’s trial has been ongoing and the jury has finally reached a decision.
After deliberating for just three and a half hours tonight after the closing arguments, they have found Patrick guilty of all eighteen counts against him.
Charges include three counts of solicitation to commit murder and two counts of first-degree murder.
The reason he has been charged with 2 counts is that the prosecution had 2 different theories on how Patrick murdered Kelsey.
Their first theory was Patrick acted by himself to murder her, and their second theory was Patrick killed Kelsey during a robbery and he was either by himself or with other people he knew.
Kelsey’s remains have not yet been recovered, although allegedly Patrick burned her body inside a rubber container on his farm.
While the verdict tonight was read aloud to the courtroom, Patrick just stood there with absolutely no emotion.
My heart certainly feels a little lighter now that he has been convicted, and hopefully, this brings some peace to Kelsey and her family.
District Court Judge Scott Sells sentenced Patrick to life in prison, plus 156 years. He will never be eligible for parole.
