For the first time ever, TikToker Dani (@dani.coco1) walked out of the middle of a date with a guy. He had said something so offensive that she was essentially left with no other choice but to remove herself from the situation.
So, they went out for drinks and appetizers. She knew from the beginning that she wasn’t really into him, but she tried to keep an open mind. Before their food arrived, they were talking about what they liked to do on the weekends.
He told her that he liked to go to church. He then asked her if she was Jewish since she had noted that she was on her dating profile. His voice rang out throughout the restaurant, which unnerved her because now everyone within earshot knew she was Jewish.
She made a lighthearted joke about how he didn’t need to scream it out for everyone to hear. He proceeded to make the most offensive remarks about Jewish people she had ever heard in her life, including one comment about how she should be embarrassed of herself because she was Jewish.
Dani was confused about why he agreed to go out with her at all if he hated Jewish people. Shortly afterward, she got up and left. The whole date lasted around 27 minutes.
As she was walking away, he told her to let him know if she wanted to play pickleball sometime, which she scoffed at.
She had done nothing to indicate that she was willing to do any further activities with him. Later, she even reported his dating profile on the service she had used.
Several TikTok users expressed their sympathies and praised Dani for standing up for herself. Some could even relate to the bad date, as they had been subjected to similar hateful behavior themselves.
