David threatened to show up while MTV filmed Jenelle in the most recent season, and we got to watch as they had to shut everything down several times over his threats.
Let’s also just take a minute to consider the fact that Jenelle collects a paycheck for being on “Teen Mom 2” that is six figures a year. On top of that, she has endorsement deals she benefits off of by being a reality TV show star.
David apparently didn’t care, and clearly didn’t consider the fact that he was affecting Jenelle’s career, in addition to the money he definitely benefits from.

And then this past fall, MTV released an episode where we all got to hear Jenelle’s 911 call. Speaking to the 911 operator, Jenelle can be heard crying hysterically and saying that her husband David “pinned” her down to the ground and started hurting her.
She claimed to be injured and that he had pushed on her so hard that she heard her “collarbone crack.”

Well, none of us were really surprised by that 911 call. We have been suspecting all along that he’s abusive to her, and potentially all the children in their home too.
Jenelle took a leave from social media strangely after all this. She claimed she needed a break from all of the hate and whatever else.
But then she released a YouTube video denying that David was abusive and saying the whole 911 call and everything that happened between the two of them was just a “misunderstanding.”
Jenelle said on YouTube, “Everything’s fine. You know, I’ve been in so many domestic violence situations in the past that I would not put up with it now. So I don’t know why you guys would think that I would continue to stay in this relationship if I was being abused.”
She then insisted that was really what was going on with her marriage, saying, “I’ve always been an open book to every single one of my fans and my haters. Whether you guys hate it, whether you guys like it.”

Well…none of us bought it. It’s pretty serious to call up 911, let alone call up 911 crying, let alone call up 911 crying and saying your husband attacked and hurt you and you’re afraid for your safety and that of the children in your home.
Getting back to the most recent season that aired, MTV told Jenelle that she was going to have to travel out of town to film. Makes sense to us. It’s harder for him to follow her around like that if she’s not close to home!
When this latest season ended, the final episode was Jenelle complaining to MTV producers on a conference call that she isn’t going to pick the show over her marriage and that David is upset that she has to now travel to film.

It really sounded like she wanted to stop being on “Teen Mom” and it really is all because David couldn’t keep himself together in the first place. He literally ruined everything she had.
We were all left wondering if this really was going to be the end of her, and then things blew up on social media in a way none of us ever could have imagined.
David shot and killed Jenelle’s french bulldog Nugget.
And then he posted all over social media about it. Like he was proud to have killed a poor, defenseless animal.
